the third re-done paragraph of 9/11

There were many long term effects of 911.  After 9/11 the world had a lot of recovery to do.  The aviation industry really struggled because so many people were afraid to fly again.  There were several airlines that had to shut down and lay people off based on lack of people in the United States traveling.   People choose to drive to places versus getting on a plane.  A lot of resorts suffered as well because people were not taking vacations for fear of flying.  Also the aviation industry was mandated to improve their security system by implementing things to deter terrorist.  Now they make it harder for you to get on an airplane.  You have to go through a scanning process, and cannot take any liquids on the plane.  You know have to arrive to the airports at least 2 hours early to make it through security.  Another impact of 9/11 was the fact that there were a lot of children who were homeless and orphaned based on the Americans who were killed in this tragedy.  The Department of Social Services had to step in and assist a lot of children.  The government had to encourage more Americans to pitch in and help out based on this tragedy.  There was also billions of dollars that were spent on looking for the remains of people lost in the buildings.  Police Officers, fireman, National Guard, and tons of volunteers stepped in to assist.  In addition to looking for people New York and DC had to be rebuilt and money was spent on that as well.  Trading also ceased that day, and for many days to come.  Another long term effect was the war.  So many Americans went to war and lost their lives, and so much money was spent looking for terrorist.  Homeland Security also invested a lot of money in protecting the country’s borders and worked with Immigration to track down potential terrorist.  Trading is one of the ways that Americans make and exchange money.  The long term effects were so many.  The main one for me was the fear that was on the earth.  So many people were scared after that day.  That is all people talked about for a long time.  I do not think the world will ever be the same again.  When 9/11 comes every year it is still a scary time to remember.
